PRODUCT CARE

At RIVERPEACE.CO, each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted with care and intention. Our garments are produced in limited quantities and made using custom-developed materials—subtle variations or textures are signs of the craftsmanship and uniqueness behind each creation.

We work with high-quality fabrics and finishes to ensure each design reflects our core values of beauty, innovation, and longevity. To help preserve your piece, we recommend following the specific care guidance outlined below.

To maintain the condition and shape of your RIVERPEACE.CO garments:

  • Avoid contact with rough surfaces, abrasive materials, and solvents.
  • Store items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Use the garment bags or pouches provided for storage or travel.
  • Minimize repeated friction and exposure to humidity, which may affect color and texture.

Please also note that humidity and any repeated friction and/or rubbing may alter the appearance of the footwear. To safeguard your favorite footwear, we recommend that you store your shoes in a cool, dry place inside the dust bag included with your order.

RIVERPEACE.CO insoles, made from real leather, can naturally break down and this is not to be considered a manufacturing defect. We do not advise adding protective rubber to the sole, as this alters the balance of the shoe and can break the heel.
To preserve the original shoe, we recommend that you follow the care instructions.

RIVERPEACE.CO declines all responsibility in the event of improper use of the product care information.

PATENT LEATHER

A tone-on-tone plastic film is applied to the calfskin, giving the leather a glossy, luminous finish while enhancing its water resistance. However, the material is sensitive to extreme temperature fluctuations and humidity, which can compromise the integrity of the film.

Excessive heat may cause the film to crumble, while exposure to very low temperatures can lead to cracking as the upper stiffens. To preserve the material, avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive surfaces, or items that may transfer pigments. When storing, place each item in its own bag to prevent friction and contact. For cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding excessive moisture or pressure. Allow the item to air-dry naturally, away from direct heat sources. Refrain from using brushes or harsh rubbing, as this may permanently damage the finish.

NAPPA LEATHER

Nappa leather is a naturally soft, supple, and porous material that will naturally adapt and yield with wear. This characteristic is part of its charm and should be taken into consideration when purchasing.

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may lead to color fading, particularly in lighter shades. To preserve its appearance, avoid contact with solvents, abrasive surfaces, or materials that could transfer pigments. For deep stains, color changes may be permanent. We recommend having Nappa leather cleaned by professional specialists. Avoid the use of colored creams, cleansing milks, wet cloths, or brushes, as they can cause staining, scratching, or leave irreversible marks. Keep the item away from direct heat sources at all times.
