PRODUCT CARE

RIVERPEACE.CO womenswear and footwear are handmade by our craftsmen. Indeed, every product is unique and meticulously crafted, each piece is a reflection of the hands that crafted it. It tells a one-of-a-kind story. That is why each individual production may present inaccuracies that actually signify its uniqueness and quality.

RIVERPEACE.CO uses materials of the highest quality and customized color palettes to guarantee luxury and exclusivity to its customers. The color palettes, featured on the different materials, are customized to achieve specific nuances.
Footwear may deteriorate due to the specific treatments used on the materials if it comes into contact with the following:

• solvents or abrasive materials;

• materials that could release colored pigments;

• rough or sharp surfaces;

• humidity;

• repeated friction/rubbing.

Please also note that humidity and any repeated friction and/or rubbing may alter the appearance of the footwear. To safeguard your favorite footwear, we recommend that you store your shoes in a cool, dry place inside the dust bag included with your order.

Casadei insoles, made from real leather, can naturally break down and this is not to be considered a manufacturing defect. We do not advise adding protective rubber to the sole, as this alters the balance of the shoe and can break the heel.
To preserve the original shoe, we recommend that you follow the care instructions. For additional requests or specific instructions, you can contact our customer service at THIS LINK.

CLOTHING CARE

CASHMERE

Cashmere is a super-soft, rich type of wool. It is a cosy, warm fabric that could be long-lasting when cared for correctly.

Cashmere doesn’t need to be washed after every wear, and a few times per season is enough. To keep it fresh, simply air out your cashmere between wears: it’s better for your garment and the environment.

Try to treat stains whilst they’re fresh. Rinse the area with cold water and a few drops of wool-friendly detergent and clean by hand. If the stain doesn’t lift straight away, let the garment soak in cool water.

When you wash your cashmere pieces, it’s best to hand wash or run a gentle machine cycle at 30°C or lower, using a specialist detergent on a low spin to help prevent pilling and save energy. Avoid tumble drying as this will shrink your cashmere and hanging to dry will distort the fibres. Instead, roll in a clean towel to remove excess water and lay flat to dry.

DENIM

All our denim is made from responsibly sourced cotton. Cotton is a strong fibre that softens with time. When cared for correctly, this means your denim pieces will be both long lasting and become more comfortable through the years.

Wash your denim pieces as little as possible; cotton is a strong fibre so it doesn’t need to be washed after every wear. Spot wash with a damp cloth or toothbrush in between washes to prolong your denim.

When you do wash your denim, turn it inside out, and put it on a cold wash. You can trust that our denim won’t run or fade. Then air dry your pieces and make sure to re-shape whilst it’s damp to help preserve its colour, shape and fit.

LINEN

Linen, derived from the flax plant, stands out as an environmentally friendly fiber with minimal impact. Cultivated with predominantly rainwater, the production process is almost waste-free. This fabric excels in regulating temperature, providing coolness in summer and warmth in winter, while ensuring comfort, lightness, and breathability.

Thanks to its moisture-management properties, linen effectively draws humidity and sweat to the fabric's surface, facilitating evaporation and maintaining a refreshing feel. Linen proves highly durable, designed to endure for years and improving in texture with each use and wash—growing softer and more adaptable to your body.

Linen is highly dye absorbent, so protect it by washing it with similar colours; Linen dries fast so hang up your item immediately after washing to reduce creases; If you need to iron your linen, do it while the item is still damp for the best results.

SHOE CARE

PATENT LEATHER

The plastic film is applied to the calfskin in the same tone, giving the material a shiny and bright aesthetic and making it water-resistant.

Avoid excessive temperature changes and humidity, which can damage the plastic film that covers the leather of the upper.If the shoe is exposed to excessively high temperatures, the material risks crumbling. In the case of too low temperatures, there is a risk that the film may crack, as a result of the upper becoming stiff. Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that could release colored pigments.

Store each of the shoes in separate bags in order to avoid direct contact.

Cleaning: When necessary, the upper can be easily cleaned using a slightly damp cloth, rubbing gently without releasing water streaks. Leave to dry in the air without subjecting the shoe to external heat sources. Avoid the use of brushes and excessive abrasion, which risks irreversibly damaging the film.

NAPPA LEATHER

Nappa leather is an extremely porous, soft, and supple natural material, which tends to give in with use. It is good to be aware of this at the time of purchase.

Over exposure to direct light may cause color changes to the nappa leather. Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that could release colored pigments. In the case of extremely deep stains, the color change may be irreversible, especially on light colors. Cleaning: For cleaning, please contact specialized centers. Colored creams and cleansing milks should be avoided when cleaning the shoe. Their use could create rings and stains that are extremely difficult to remove. We do not advise using brushes as they risk irreversibly scratching the surface of the material, as well as wet cloths, which risk staining it. Do not subject the shoe to external sources of heat.

SUEDE/BUCKSKIN

Suede is an extremely porous natural material that easily absorbs any liquids it comes into contact with.Suede can transfer color despite numerous treatments.

Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that could release colored pigments. In the case of extremely deep stains, the color change may be irreversible.As a preventative measure, the suede can be treated with a specific waterproof anti-stain spray, available in non-specialized shopping centers.

Cleaning: Always clean when the shoe is dry. A regular brush with soft bristles is recommended for cleaning suede. The brushing must always be done with dry footwear and only following the direction of the surface of the hair. Too frequent use of the brush, the use of too-rigid bristles or too strong abrasion can damage the material. Avoid using water or solvents. Do not subject the shoe to external sources of heat.

SATIN

Satin is a firm fabric that tends to preserve its shape over time.

Do not subject the wet shoe to direct sunlight or external sources of heat. Allow to dry thoroughly in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that could release colored pigments. In the case of extremely deep stains, the color change may be irreversible, especially on light colors.

Cleaning: Sthe upper can be cleaned using a dry cloth, gently dabbing the affected area. For cleaning deeper stains, please contact specialized centers. Do not use brushes that can scratch the surface of the material irreversibly. Avoid excessive abrasion and the use of water or solvents for cleaning. Colored creams and cleansing milk must be avoided: their use could create rings and stains.

Do not subject the shoe to external sources of heat.

GLITTER

Selene is a microfiber fabric on which a glittery film is applied using heat. The film is made of a crystal powder fixed on transparent plastic.

All glitter models must be used with extreme care. Contact and rubbing with glittery footwear produces irreversible material loss and discoloration. A small loss of the material is part of the normal use and not to be considered a defect. Avoid excessive temperature changes and humidity which can damage the plastic film. Excessively high temperatures can cause crumbling. Too low temperatures risk cracking the film. Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that can release colored pigments.Store shoes in separate bags in order to avoid direct contact.

Cleaning: use a dry, soft cloth, without rubbing. Avoid colored creams and cleansing milks that could create rings and stains. Do not use brushes that scratch the surface of the material, or damp cloths that stain. Do not subject the shoe to external sources of heat.

CALFSKIN

Calfskin is a very resistant natural material that can deteriorate if not treated with proper care. Florence is dip dyed. This material undergoes a waterproofing treatment through the use of polishing waxes. To give a longer lasting effect than natural wax, we recommend the use of waterproof and stain-proof sprays, which can be found in non-specialized shopping centers.
Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that could release colored pigments.
Cleaning: awe recommend using a woolen cloth with light circular movements without rubbing. Before cleaning, make sure that there are no foreign elements on the surface that could scratch/scrape the upper. Colored creams and cleansing milks should be avoided for cleaning the shoe. Their use could create rings and stains.

Do not use brushes that could scratch the surface of the material irreversibly, or damp cloths that could stain it. Do not subject the shoe to external heat sources. Always clean the shoe when dry.

HANOI

Synthetic leather with a woven design. The bands are created in multiple sizes and finished with colorful loops or with metallic film applications. Over exposure to direct light can cause color changes. Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that could release colored pigments.

Cleaning:For optimal cleaning, we recommend using a dry, soft cloth with light movements, without rubbing. Colored creams and cleansing milks must be avoided when cleaning the shoe: their use could create rings and stains that are extremely difficult to remove. Do not use brushes that could scratch the surface of the material irreversibly. Do not subject the shoe to external sources of heat.

FLASH

Flash is a metallized nappa leather covered with a very thin laminated foil. The nappa leather tends to yield with use. This type of material can wrinkle and/or ripple following continuous bending which is not to be considered a defect. Overexposure to direct light may cause color changes. Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive materials or anything that could release colored pigments.

In the case of extremely deep stains, the color change may be irreversible.

Cleaning: use a woolen cloth with slight circular movements. Before cleaning, make sure that there are no foreign elements on the surface (e.g., gravel) that could scratch the upper. Colored creams and cleansing milks should be avoided. Their use could create rings and stains. Do not use brushes that could scratch the surface of the material, or damp cloths. Do not subject the shoe to external sources of heat. Always clean with a dry shoe.
